Eric Bailey, Bailey Wealth Advisors Founder & CEO, Featured in Jet Magazine Article on Finding the Right Financial Advisor
Bailey Wealth Advisors’ Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Eric Bailey (CFP), was featured in a recent Jet Magazine article entitled “How African-Americans Can Find a Financial Advisors”, written by Rodney Brooks. Bailey was asked his expert – 30-plus years of financial planning & wealth management experience – opinion on how individuals and families should begin their search, determine what their right fit is, and what questions are the right ones to ask.
Here’s Bailey’s response on finding the right fit and paying attention to credentials, “The gold standard is the Certified Financial Planner (CFP). CFPs are required to take course work and sit for an exam, much like a Certified Public Accountant. It is a rigorous designation. Most people get it five to seven years in. You know the person has an understanding of investments, budgeting, credit, estate planning, retirement issues, Medicare, and Social Security.”
